About Acetylene
The acetylene gas C2H2
is a compound of carbon and hydrogen
molecules chemically combined. The
purpose of this gas in the metal
industry is for oxy-acetylene Welding,
metal cutting applications and for
testing metals. In welding or cutting
process, the heat source is a mixture of
oxygen and acetylene gases burning to
produce a flame, whose temperature could
reach 315oC and this is above the
melting point of most metals. |
